Naples Florida Living
Naples Florida living is quite unlike anywhere else in the world. Maybe the greatest affirmation of that truth comes from the fact that for the third year in a row, the Naples Metropolitan area has been heralded as having the highest
state of well-being, outscoring 186 other communities throughout America, based on research gathered through the Gallup-Sharecare Well-Being index. In fact, after a decade of conducting such research, Naples is making history as THE ONLY community to top the rankings for three consecutive years. The study annually examines five essential elements for well-being:
Purpose – do residents enjoy what they do each day and are they motivated to achieve goals
Social – the degree to which one has supportive, loving relationships in their life
Financial – manageability of economic life for reduced stress and financial security
Community – how much people like where they live, feel safe and take pride within their community
Physical – the feeling of good health and having sufficient energy to do things each day.
It’s no wonder that those experiencing Naples Florida living should respond so positively during this annual assessment. After all, our above average days of sunny weather make it possible to constantly enjoy outdoor activities in tennis, beach strolls, the world’s best golf courses and a variety of other activities. What’s more, though much is often communicated about the affluence of Naples, in terms of the very wealthy who live here, it is important to note that many of these people are distinguished as leading philanthropists. They donate considerable time, energy and dollars in support of causes that help children, families and the environment. Their efforts in this regard definitely factor in one’s sense of purpose, social engagement and community pride. For all of Naples’ greatness as a city, it is the community of people that ultimately make this such a special place to live.
Interestingly, the community which ranked second in the study and nearly tied Naples’ score, was a community in my former home of Massachusetts – Barnstable Town. My feelings of nostalgia and respect for friends & family prevent me from saying anything disparaging about Massachusetts, but I must confess – the winters here are much nicer.
To my northern friends and anyone that desires greater sense of well-being and better weather too, Naples Florida living is the best prescription I can offer, and healthcare research seems to back-it-up.
